8th Grade Art Displayed in the Commons

Joey Gervolino

The teacher that started this marvelous 8th grade art display is Mrs. McGuire. Her classes worked on some interesting paper art. This amazing paper art display was in the commons during the month of September into part of October. The style of this art display is 2D and 3D art. It is to celebrate Hispanic culture and contributions of two highly influential artists Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera.

Mrs. McGuire said, ” The 8th grade art exhibit shows portraits, watercolor compositions, and paper sculptures.”

Mrs. McGuire received her degree in art from Spring Arbor University in Michigan. Later on she earned her master’s degree in art education from Boston University. She’s been a teacher at T.O.I.S for 15 years. If you’re lucky enough, you will get Mrs. McGuire as an 8th grade art teacher and be able to participate in her great display ideas.
