Mrs. Ginder is the advisor of the TOIS Jazz band. The Jazz band is for 6th through 8th graders who want to practice and get better at instruments. The goal of this club is to have a fun  and to practice to get better. Currently practices are held in the music/band room. The instruments that students can play in the Jazz band are flute, piccolo, clarinet, bass clarinet, alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, baritone saxophone, French horn, trumpet, trombone, baritone, tuba, and percussion.

Mrs. Ginder says “Band is a family so to speak, and we get to have fun making music together.”

As you can see jazz band is an awesome activity to join. It is fun, and Mrs. Ginder has been teaching band for 9 year (this is her 10th), so you will be in good hands.  If interested,  give Jazz bands a try.
