Why sleep is important

Finn Fuller, author

Imagine you’re in your bedroom scrolling and you look at the clock. It is 2:00 A.M., and you remember you have a test the next day, which you have not studied for. This is the reality for some middle school students.  Sleep matters and we all need a good amount of it.

Did you know according to the CDC that the average middle school student does not get enough sleep by almost an hour! That is crazy and we have to make a change. Some people think that not getting enough sleep is fine but it can.   Lacking sleep is not healthy, and  studies have proven it.  According to NIH,  kids that do not get enough sleep have a better chance of being depressed and obese.

Now, it should make you at least consider putting down your phone earlier and just study and go to bed.
