On October 5, 2023, Commander, a two-year-old German shepherd, was kicked out of the White House because of a 200-page document released describing 10 attacks. No injuries were serious.
There were 11 reported biting incidents and there are probably more. Now they will try more new training techniques.
CNN said, “Commander is not currently in the White House while the next steps are evaluated.” The president and the first lady care deeply about the safety of those who work at the White House and those who protect them every day”. Commander was given to them in December 2021 after Champ died, another German shepherd.
Commander was sent to stay with family friends in Delaware.
